Rotary Arm
A rotary arm works in a similar fashion to a turntable, aside from the turntable element of it. A rotary arm rotates around the pallet itself, wrapping the contents on the pallet in a circular motion. A rotary arm is able to be used around pallets that are overweight or over-sized and may not fit on a turntable. A rotary arm is more expensive than a turntable wrapper, but eliminates size restrictions.
Stretch Hooder
A stretch hooder is different than both a turntable and rotary arm pallet wrapper in that the wrapping does not go around the pallet in a circular motion. A stretch hooder uses a piece of stretched plastic and stretches it from the top down over the pallet, much like you would put a shirt on over your head and roll it down over your body. A stretch hooder tends to use plastic that is thicker and more durable than plastic wrapping, making this a great way to stabilize unstable loads.
